Your food waste is our community farmers’ dream!
With South Africa facing significant challenges in both food waste management and soil degradation, Feed the Soil offers a practical and impactful solution. The programme encourages households and hospitality businesses to collect their food waste using specially designed Food Waste Kits. This waste is then converted into nutrient-rich compost, which is donated to urban farmers who, in turn, grow fresh, organic produce that is resold at suburban pop-up markets and through hospitality partnerships.
