Rise Against Hunger 2026

Rise Against Hunger Africa – Human Rights Day Meal Packaging

Make a meaningful impact this Human Rights Day by joining Rise Against Hunger Africa at Blue Route Mall for an inspiring and hands-on volunteer experience. Together, we’ll pack nutritious meals for children attending Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres across the Western Cape — helping to nourish young minds and support healthier futures.

What to expect

Be part of an energetic and uplifting community of volunteers as we come together to assemble meal packs that will reach children who need them most. Each volunteer shift is one hour long and designed to be fun, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding.

Venue: Blue Route Mall – First Floor, Woolworths Upper Court
Date: Saturday, 21 March 2026
Volunteer shifts:

  • Shift 1: 09:00 – 10:00
  • Shift 2: 10:30 – 11:30
  • Shift 3: 12:00 – 13:00

Why get involved

Your time matters. As part of the Rise Against Hunger movement — an international hunger relief organisation dedicated to ending hunger through community action, nutrition and education — you’ll help create measurable impact where it’s needed most. Meal packing events like this one bring people together to make a direct contribution to reducing child hunger and supporting local ECD programmes in the Western Cape.

How to join

Spaces are limited for each shift — sign up today to secure your volunteer spot. It’s a powerful way to celebrate Human Rights Day by giving back, connecting with your community, and helping ensure children have access to nutritious food.
